Creatures of the Corn sign give off a corn field vibe.

Creatures of the Corn at Six Flags St. Louis

Creatures of the Corn at Six Flags St. Louis is a brand new paid haunted attraction for the 2021 season. It is located in Tidal Wave’s old plot of land, right next to Skyscreamers and Boomerang. Those that will brave it, walk through a cornfield where the locals are not friendly to visitors.

Creatures of the Corn Experience

This attraction is only during Fright Fest and only at night time. Guest can begin lining up after the Freaks Unleashed show is over. Once your group is ready to enter the maze one of the locals of the Corn will give you the rules. This means to stay together, no pictures, and if you are going to freak out please leave now. When you enter your group will follow the path set out where there will be haunting imagery and frequent “gotcha scares”. The whole experience lasts about 5 minutes then you can exit and get your picture taken with two of the locals.

Photo opportunity has a picture frame, some corn, and two locals.
Love to see this kind of fun interaction.

Creatures of the Corn: The Good

It is great to see a new haunted attraction this year. Creatures of the Corn is not the scariest of them but that is okay. It instead has more of a fun vibe to it. They will still try to scare you but this one seems to be a little more family-friendly. Which fits with the corn maze type of feel.

There is one really great “Gotcha” moment about midway through the maze. It will really surprise you as long as you are not looking too closely at the action while waiting in line.

The photo opportunity at the end is a great idea. Love to see more of this kind of thing throughout the park.

Smoke, corn, and old rustic barns are scattered throughout Creatures of the Corn.

The Bad

While we love the new haunted attraction it is just too short. Out of all the haunted attractions at Fright Fest this year you will spend the least amount of time in these cornfields. Sometimes it takes a year or two for them to get these right. What they have here is fun but they just need more of it.

If the line stretches out of the entrance, as it did for us, then a lot of the best parts you will see from the outside. This is why we prefer these to be inside. That completely unknown vibe really adds to the experience.

Final Verdict

Creatures of the Corn is a fun addition to Fright Fest at Six Flags, St. Louis. Hopefully, they can evolve it some and get it right. What is here is fun but just wish there was more of it. Because of these reasons Creatures of the Corn gets a seven out of ten.

The costumes give off a cornfield gone crazy vibe.
