Snoopy vs. Red Baron

Snoopy vs. Red Baron at Worlds of Fun: Classic done Right

Snoopy vs. Red Baron at Worlds of Fun has entertained kids since 1974, designed and manufactured by Bradley & Kaye Amusement Co. However, it has gone by many names, such as Pand-Am Airlines and Kiddy Hawk Airlines. Regardless of the name, this ride has kids soaring with delight. This airplane ride is another good addition to Planet Snoopy for this park.

Snoopy vs. Red Baron at Worlds of Fun Experience

Snoopy vs. Red Baron sits towards the back of the park at the front entrance to the Planet Snoopy section, sandwiched between Detonator and Cosmic Coaster. You can expect a long line only on jam-packed days, so we don’t recommend prioritizing this ride. Riders must be between 36 and 54 inches to ride. A Safety belt will keep riders safe in their cockpits. Once the ride attendant has checked all restraints, it is time for takeoff!

As the cycle begins, the planes spin around the structure. Each plan can rise if the child pulls back on the joystick. The ride duration is about a minute and a half. Once the ride has come to a complete stop, the ride attendant will give the all-clear. Then, you or the child can then undo the restraint and safely exit the ride.

Snoopy vs. Red Baron at Worlds of Fun: The Positives

Almost every kid’s section of any theme park will have this exact ride. That is for a perfect reason! The fun of jumping into an airplane and rising is universally loved. They get to pull back on the stick and go high. They are in charge of it is the real key to the fun.

This is a bonafide classic ride. But, just because a ride is old doesn’t mean it’s good, like Peanuts Turn Tyke, which has worn out its welcome. Not so with Snoopy vs. Red Baron; this one is still a great ride! Think of how many parents that rode this as kids now get to watch theirs take flight.

Much credit goes to the maintenance crew at Worlds of Fun for not letting this classic age badly. These planes look just as good as any of the other newer rides in Planet Snoopy.

The Negatives

There is only one thing that we can find complaint with for this excellent ride. Adults can only watch. With a height restriction set to 54 inches, this one is only for kids. All kid’s rides are better when the adults can get in on the experience.

Final Verdict

Snoopy vs. Red Baron at Worlds of Fun is another solid addition to Planet Snoopy. Tons of fun that puts kids in the cockpit and lets them control how high they soar. It has been well-kept by the park and is a true classic. We only wish that adults could copilot. Because of these reasons, Snoopy vs. Red Baron at Worlds of Fun gets a nine out of ten.
