Peanuts Road Rally at Worlds of Fun Review

Peanuts Road Rally at Worlds of Fun has been operating since 2011, designed and manufactured by Zamperla from their Convoy model. Take a stroll in a kid-sized Monster Truck through a themed adventure. While it is just too short, the excellent vehicles and scenery will make this a ride that the kids will love.

Peanuts Road Rally at Worlds of Fun Experience

Peanuts Road Rally at Worlds of Fun sits towards the back of the park in the Planet Snoopy section, next to Flying Ace Balloon Race and Lucy’s Tugboat. While this can attract a lot of riders, it is rare to wait in a long line. Riders must be 36 inches to ride alone, but anyone under 36 can ride if an adult accompanies them. A Safety belt will keep all riders safe. Once the ride attendant has checked all restraints, it is time for the fun to begin!

Peanuts Road Rally at Worlds of Fun has six Monster Trucks with all different colors.

As the cycle begins, Trucks will all depart and move together. There are steering wheels, but they are only for fun. Road signs and scenic trees are spread throughout the track to give a road trip adventure vibe. The ride duration is about a minute. Once the ride has come to a complete stop, the ride attendant will give the all-clear. Then, you can undo the restraint and exit the ride safely.

Peanuts Road Rally at Worlds of Fun: The Positives

The vehicles being Monster Trucks is the whole reason for this ride to exist. The manufacturer has many cars for this ride type, like safari vehicles or big rig trucks, but the Monster Truck ones stick out. The kids of your group (maybe some adults) will have a blast on this just because who doesn’t love Monster Trucks?

With kiddie-vehicle rides, we measure if it is long enough by if they get far enough away from the station to be out of sight. Worlds of Fun cheated here by hiding how short this one is by placing tons of spot-on theming. Road signs and trees give the impression of taking a more extended trip. Theming is the icing on the cake. It won’t fix a bad ride, but it will usually improve any ride.

We will always give extra points to any kiddie ride with which the adults can get in on the fun. The adults will have to sit in the back portion and help supervise. Also, if anyone in the group is under 36 inches, they can ride if the adult does. We know that every kiddie ride cannot accommodate adults, but it is always a benefit to the ones that can.

The Negatives

As mentioned above, the theming does help to hide how short this is, but it doesn’t hide it completely. The Monster Trucks pull back into the station just too quickly. Peanuts Road Rally is a scenic tour ride, like the parks Le TaxiTour. When a ride like this is too short, we often think it misses the point. We base this on what exactly is the point of a ride. Take another kid’s vehicle ride in the park like Peanuts 500. We grumbled about it being too short, but that ride’s point was the sharp turns. The point of this ride is to take a drive, and it being too short sticks out badly.

Final Verdict

Peanuts Road Rally at Worlds of Fun is another excellent addition to Planet Snoopy. What could have been a bad ride from being too short was saved with tons of theming. Of course, they also wisely let kids sit in Monster Trucks, which is always a good idea! Because of these reasons, Peanuts Road Rally at Worlds of Fun gets a seven out of ten.
