Uncaged at SIx Flags St. Louis

Uncaged at Six Flags St. Louis

Uncaged at Six Flags St. Louis is a paid haunted attraction during Fright Fest. Located through the arcade when exiting Joker Inc. and by Ninja. The theme of Uncaged is that there is an abandoned town where a bunch of genetically mutated birds has developed a taste for human flesh.

Uncaged Experience

When you enter the gates of Six Flags St. Louis you will head to the right and follow the bird footmarks to Uncaged. They will validate your Fright Pass before exiting the arcade. From there you will travel over the train tracks to the backside of the park. Once you make it through the normally very short line a bird person will greet you. They will give you the rules which consist of stay together, no pictures, and if you are going to freak out, please leave now. Once all agree the scares begin. Once inside you will find that a ton of old Six Flags St. Louis props and former attractions that have been made into a little makeshift town. You walk through the town encountering the locals and trying to survive.

To find Uncaged they have put down what looks like bird / animal footprints to guide the way.
Follow these to the haunted house.

Uncaged: The Good

This is the same spot that Camp Kilamore was on in prior years. This is a vast improvement upon that. The path to walk is much more narrow and therefore more controlled. The creatures that call this home have a really great look to them which also helps to heighten the experience.

Since the authors of this review are huge nerds for theme parks in general, but Six Flags St. Louis is our home park, it is really a trip down memory lane seeing all they used to make the props for this. Miss the frozen lemonade stand that was in the line for Batman: The Ride? You will see that and so much more.

One of the creatures is shown in daylight which is all black and crouched like a bird.
Since photos aren’t allowed in the attraction, this is the kind of creature you will encounter.

The Bad

The complaints here are common to our other reviews of the haunted attractions for this park. It is too short and not very scary. While they improved upon Camp Kilamore they haven’t perfected it. The whole experience is around 5 minutes or so. There wasn’t really one outstanding scare to speak of.

This complaint will either be good or bad depending on what you are looking for. This seems like a haunted attraction built with younger kids in mind. Nothing too weird or scary will happen. Kind of a family haunted house. Made all the worse since this is an upcharge attraction during Fright Fest.

Uncaged is new to Fright Fest in the year 2021.

Final Verdict

Uncaged is a fun haunted attraction at Fright Fest. This will be best suited for families looking for fun but not wanting the younger kids to be left out. Populated with tons of fun props. Which also makes it a trip down memory lane. Great costumes do help heighten the experience. Considering that this is an upcharge attraction we cannot call it a home run. Because of these reasons Uncaged gets a six and a half out of ten.
