Sally’s Swing Set at Worlds of Fun has entertained families since 2011, designed and manufactured by Zamperla from their Happy Swing model. These offer a great ride experience for the little ones looking for a moderate thrill. This Swing ride is another good addition to Planet Snoopy for this park.
Sally’s Swing Set at Worlds of Fun Experience
Sally’s Swing Set at Worlds of Fun sits towards the back of the park in the Planet Snoopy section, next to Camp Bus and Kite Eating Tree. This will rarely end up with a long line, so there is no need to prioritize this ride at the park. Riders must be between 36 and 73 inches to ride. A Safety belt needs to be buckled for each rider, and there is also an accompanying lap bar for all that will keep riders safe. Once the ride attendant has checked all restraints, it is time for the fun to begin!
As the cycle begins, the swing will sway one way and back the other. As the ride gets going, it will Increase the amount of sway each time. The ride duration is about a minute and a half. Once the ride has come to a complete stop, the ride attendant will give the all-clear. Then, you can undo the restraint and exit the ride safely.
Sally’s Swing Set at Worlds of Fun: The Positives
These swings offer a decent thrill for the kids. This isn’t going to scare many children used to amusement rides, but when it is at full speed, the motion can be pretty thrilling.
If the adult is under 73 inches, they can get in on the fun! We always will give extra points to any kid ride that lets the adults get in on the fun. Sometimes it might be worth skipping out on the ride since this also gives such good photo opportunities. Either way, kids and adults should enjoy this attraction.
The Negatives
Flat rides become repetitive when they do one thing over and over. Sally’s Swing Set at Worlds of Fun has this issue. There is zero variation in motion once the ride gets into full swing. This doesn’t make it a bad ride but holds it back from being one of the best in Planet Snoopy.
The theming is bare bones. Nothing about Sally or the Peanuts characters enhances the ride at all. Take its neighbor ride Camp Bus which theming makes the ride better. Again this is a minor deal. Most of its target audience, kids, won’t care about its lack of theming.
Final Verdict
Sally’s Swing Set at Worlds of Fun is a good addition to the park. It offers an enjoyable experience for its target audience. The swinging on this kid ride is fun for the young and the old. However, the ride could use motion variation or theming to enhance the experience. Because of these reasons, Sally’s Swing Set at Worlds of Fun gets a six and a half out of ten.
