Bluegrass Bakery at Kentucky Kingdom serves up cookies and cinnamon bread. This amazing little shop began operation in 2021. The smell coming from the building serves as a siren’s call to walk no further. You would be wise to answer that call because the cinnamon bread is life-changing good!
Bluegrass Bakery at Kentucky Kingdom Experience
You can just follow your nose to the goodness! Located towards the front of the park. Pass up Lightning Run and before you get to King Louie’s Playland, you will find this gem. The inside has a very rustic feel to it with hardwood floors and paneling. Line up and you can pick what bakery treats to have. The amount of seating is not huge but normally there will be room. Sit and talk with your group about how unbelievably good the cinnamon bread is!
Bluegrass Bakery at Kentucky Kingdom: The Good
We won’t beat around the bush, the cinnamon bread is one of the best desserts we have ever tried. If you have had the cinnamon bread at either Dollywood or Silver Dollar City then you will already know what to expect here. It comes in a metal tin and is lined with this thick butter that is so good. The only difference we found with Bluegrass Bakery is that we got a side of icing instead of it being put on top of it. The end result is just incredible.
We could rant some more about how off the charts the cinnamon bread is but we think you got the point. Simply put it is worth the trip to the park just for this.
The Bad
The cookies are overpriced, and just not that special. To be clear, they are good. But for the money, we would just advise getting a second cinnamon bread. Really we have no serious issues at all here.
Final Verdict
Bluegrass Bakery at Kentucky Kingdom is an outstanding addition to the park. This and Scoops really make your dessert options simple, because both are awesome! The cookies are fine, but really we just recommend this place for the addictive drug that is the Cinnamon Bread. Come for the Kentucky Kingdom Roller Coasters but stay for the cinnamon bread! Because of these reasons, Bluegrass Bakery gets a nine and a half out of ten.
