Plymouth Rock Cafe at Holiday World is a Thanksgiving-themed restaurant. It is located past The Voyage and right across from Gobblers Getaway. Perfect for anyone looking to get a quality meal but are not craving typical theme park food.
Plymouth Rock Cafe Experience
When you enter the building you can line up in what looks like a buffet line. Here you can choose what you will eat. You get to choose your meat, which is Turkey, pulled pork, Chicken & Dumplings, or Fried Chicken or upcharge for the beef brisket. Next you can choose your sides of Applesauce ,Broccoli Salad, Cinnamon Apples, Corn, Green Beans, Macaroni & Cheese, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Stuffing, and Sweet Potato Casserole. Lastly you can choose from either a corn bread or a roll. Once you pay for your food you can sit down and enjoy your meal.
Take note that they will do seasonal changes to their menu. It is possible that the menu will be slightly different when you head to the park.
Plymouth Rock Cafe: The Good
This is one of our favorite food options of any theme park. All the food is excellent. From the main course, the sides, even the rolls. It feels like a real meal, rather than the regular options of most theme parks.
This place can get busy but the line moves fast. They even made a huge dinning room for it so rarely will it be an issue trying to find seating for your group. It is also a perfectly themed restaurant for Holiday World and where in the park it sits.
The Bad
It was a real struggle coming up with something to complain about for this fantastic place. One thing we can say is we wish there was an option for getting more than one meat as part of a meal. Like a choose two or three type of deal. Of course you can purchase just a meat option but it cost almost as much as another meal. However, they do give you a good portion size for whatever option you have.
Final Verdict
Plymouth Rock Cafe at Holiday World is one of the best restaurants at any theme park. It would be hard to imagine someone not liking this place. If you only eat at once while visiting the park make sure it is this restaurant. Great food, good portion size, varieties of options, tons of seating, and even well priced. An adult meal will run you about 14 dollars. This is about as good as it gets inside a theme park. Because of these reasons Plymouth Rock Cafe gets a 10 out of 10!
