Deadman's Party at Six Flags St. Louis

Deadman’s Party at Six Flags St. Louis

Deadman’s Party at Six Flags St. Louis is a dance show during Fright Fest. Located on the Palace Theatre steps with shows every couple of hours. A group of female dancers will come out and do routines set to rock music.

Deadman’s Party Experience

Since this show takes place outside, the scramble for seating is pretty easy. You can show up on time or wait right before the show and usually get a decent viewing area. If you want one of the benches then you will have to show up a good 20 minutes early. When the show starts the female dancers will emerge from behind their lair and start performing dance routines. This will last about 20 minutes but after the show, the dancers will line up to take pictures.

Deadman's Party has some good dancing.

Deadman’s Party: The Good

They do a good job of having every song fit the theme but not being similar songs each time. They all have decent beats so that the dance routines will make sense. The routines themselves are well thought out and again make it so that it isn’t monotonous.

We really do love the taking pictures thing afterward. Being able to meet the people who are entertaining you is always great.

The Bad

This one doesn’t work for us at all. Deadman’s Party feels like a show that should be done after dark. It feels very “gothic burlesque” which makes it awkward for the families that show up. We don’t want to give the wrong impression that this is very inappropriate or anything like that. It isn’t, but it rides a fine line. Maybe it says something more about the reviewer than the show itself but the mixture of sensuality and death imagery makes this a Party that I could do without.

This is just a dance show. If there was some kind of a story to explain what this party is about, that could have helped. Also if they performed the songs it would feel more complete.

Dancing is the name of the game.

Final Verdict

There is very little we like about Deadman’s Party at Six Flags St. Louis. It fits the Fright Fest theme but feels like one that should be done after dark. We are never very harsh critics but a show with just dancing doesn’t do it for us. If the things we complained about sound like things that would keep you away, then this one will also not be for you. Though it is important to mention that people really seem to like this show. We never get a sense that the crowd doesn’t like it. So keep in mind that this is just our opinion about this show. Because of these reasons Dead Man’s Party gets a three out of ten.
