Crossroads Pizza at Silver Dollar City serves up pizzas, calzones, and salad. Located on the edge of Rivertown. Close to Mystic River Falls on your way to Outlaw Run. They begin to open at 11 AM most days and the line gets decently long. Crossroads Pizza is about as good of a pizza place as you are ever going to find.
Crossroads Pizza Experience
Since the food is so good here, we recommend you get here in off-peak eating hours. The times we have gone, we got there promptly at 11 am. when they opened. You are able to choose which kind of pizza you would like. You can go with their creation or create your own. Once you are done ordering you can fill your side at one of the two coke freestyle machines. It will take a little while for your pizza to come out since this is all fresh and cooked to order. They give you an order number on your receipt. Once that number is called out you can go pick up your order at the kitchen area.
Crossroads Pizza: The Good
Silver Dollar City has the best food of any theme park we have ever been to. Crossroads Pizza is one of the reasons. They bake all the pizzas in a stone-hearth oven. It makes the pizzas have a crispy taste to the crust. Not the doughy and greasy way of most theme parks. The method of cooking also gives the pizzas a smoky flavor that really gives this pizzeria a distinct taste.
Of course, if the toppings aren’t quality then non of this would matter. This is no concern here since the toppings are top-shelf stuff. The meat is not skimped on or of low quality. The Mighty Meat, which was our favorite, is just about as good of a pizza as we have ever had.
The Bad
We have no complaints about the food. The biggest issue I have had is the time spent with this meal. They don’t allow you to place an order and come back at a designated time. Or call ahead like any other pizza place. We understand the logistics of that with this being a theme park. However, anything that can cut down on the waiting so you can go ride Time Traveler again we think should be considered.
Dining space can also fill up quickly. Every time we have been there is a lot of families that end up taking their pie to go because there is no more seating for them. All in all, these are minor complaints. You cannot go wrong making Crossroads Pizza your restaurant of choice.
Final Verdict
Crossroads Pizza is about as good as it gets. Just another reason why we declare that Silver Dollar City has the best food of any theme park in the United States. Minor complaints with how long it takes but sometimes quality takes time. Because of these reasons, Crossroads Pizza on a scale of one to ten gets a nine and a half!
