Hannah’s Ice Cream Parlor Experience

Everything in Silver Dollar City is themed to a town in the 1880s. This building feels like it really could have been built at this time. This is part of the main section of the park so this building has been here for a very long time. It feels like walking into a very nice old house. You walk up and are able to order any number of combinations of Ice Cream. You can choose from Sundaes, Shakes, Floats, and Cones. They also serve Soft Drinks, Hot Chocolate, and Coffee. Once you get your goodies you can choose from any seat in the rather large dining area. Don’t forget to go and view the area where you can watch them make all the Ice Cream In-house.

Hannah's Ice Cream Parlor has this setup in clear view to see them making the ice cream daily.
Watching them make Ice Cream adds a layer of authenticity to the experience.

Hannah’s Ice Cream Parlor: The Good

Simply put, the Ice Cream is amazing. It for sure won’t taste like any store-bought brand you have ever had. Even different than most Ice Cream shops you go to that serve up a premium product. This is Ice Cream done in such an old-fashioned way and the product has a special taste. We are open to the idea that our minds were wowed so much by the decor and display that it tricked our taste buds. However, in the end, this Ice Cream blew us away.

Our favorite treat to have is the Peanut Butter Cup Sundae. Vanilla Ice Cream topped with pieces of Peanut Butter Cups, Hot Fudge, Whipped Cream, Chopped Peanuts, and a Cherry. Most of which those ingredients are also Silver Dollar City made! Beyond this one dish, you cannot go wrong. Everything is authentic and taste that will bring you back in time.

The Bad

Just about every review of any dining establishment at Silver Dollar City we have to struggle to come up with something bad. I am sure someone more cranky could come up with something here, but I am at a loss. Every time I have been in here the help has always been so kind and my order is right. I guess if I had to come up with something then I would say that even as good as this Ice Cream is the Cinnamin Bread at Clara Belle’s Cinnamon Bread is just a little bit more special. If you can come up with something bad to say about this place I would love to hear it. Post it to the comments and let everyone know what we missed.

That Strawberry is also not to be missed!

Final Verdict

Hannah’s Ice Cream Parlor is a wonderful Desert option at Silver Dollar City. We have yet to try something that didn’t wow us. The staff works hard and are very friendly from our experiences. Also, its placement right at the front of the park makes it so convenient. Our issues with it are barely worth mentioning again. Simply put this place rocks. Because of these reasons, Hannah’s Ice Cream Parlor gets a ten out of ten.
