Reindeer Games at Holiday World has been in operation since 2008. Made for those not tall enough to get on Liberty Launch just yet. Located in Rudolph’s Reindeer Ranch and will please younger thrill-seekers.
Reindeer Games Rider Experience
Children over 36 inches are able to ride, but if in between 36 and 42 then they must be accompanied by an adult supervisor. Each tower can seat five riders and there are two towers total. They will be kept safe with an over-the-shoulder restraint which the ride op will check. When the ride begins it will lift up 30 feet into the air then suddenly drop you. It will do that a total of 8 times then come back down to the ground. Once it comes to a complete stop, they can lift the restraint and exit the ride.
Reindeer Games: The Good
Drop Towers are fun no matter the age. While this one doesn’t get very high it still packs a thrilling punch for young thrill-seekers. Out of all the kiddie drop towers we have ever seen this one does look to be the most aggressive of them. Nothing crazy but impressive amount of thrill for a kid ride.
It is very unique how there are two of these. One will run on slower days but when it is needed and both sides are running it really helps churn through that line. Smart little investments like this are what make Holiday World a special theme park.
The Bad
The ride experience is fantastic so we have zero complaints there. The only bad aspect of this ride is the restrictions on it. Kids have to be over 42 inches to ride this without an adult supervisor. Our experience is that around the 42 inches mark is when kids stop wanting to go to the kid area at the theme park. But anyone between 36 and 42 can ride as long as an adult goes with them. Sounds good because we love the ability to ride with our younger kids in our group. Then you find out that those adults cannot weigh over 165 pounds. Now how many of the ride ops will enforce that?
Final Verdict
Reindeer Games was a good addition to the park. It packs a good punch for a kid ride and also has great capacity. The only issue is the number of restrictions on who can ride. Because of these reasons Reindeer Games gets an eight out of ten.
