Dancer’s Fish at Holiday World has been in operation since the 70s. Designed and Manufactured by Eyerly Aircraft Company from their Bulgy the Whale model. This Fish-Go-Round is located in Rudolph’s Reindeer Ranch and should please any young thrill-seekers.
Dancer’s Fish Rider Experience
Young thrill-seekers need to be less than 54 inches in order to ride. They will be kept safe by a seatbelt in each fish. This is single seating only, so no doubling up. Once the ride attendant has checked each child’s restraint the spinning can begin! There are 8 fish cars in total that will spin around the structure. The ride has little bunny hills that help add in a little thrill to this ride. The fun lasts around 45 seconds, then will begin to slow. When the ride has come to a complete stop it is safe for them to exit.
Dancer’s Fish: The Good
The ride breaks up the motion of just spinning around with little bunny hills throughout. Kids get such a thrill from this ride because of them. You don’t see bored kids riding Dancer’s Fish.
While those fish are pretty hard to fit into the theming of Rudolph’s Reindeer Ranch the kids don’t care. The fish look good and help enhance the experience for the kids. But the adults will appreciate just how well-maintained this ride from the 70s looks. The maintenance crew from Holiday World has kept this ride in tip-top shape.
The Bad
Kids can only ride alone. The best thing for kid rides is to allow adults to ride with them. If that cannot happen then at least allow them to ride with a sibling or friend. To make matter worse is that only 8 riders each cycle. It can make this a long wait on busy days.
Final Verdict
Dancer’s Fish is a great kid ride for Holiday World. The little pops of airtime will thrill the young theme park enthusiast in your group. However, this would get a higher score if only kids could ride with a friend. Because of these reasons, Dancer’s Fish gets an eight out of ten.
