You Me and Gravity playing as I write more about Roller Coasters.

You, Me and Gravity: Planet Coaster OST

You, Me and Gravity is the official Soundtrack to the video game Planet Coaster. Written by Jim Guthrie and JJ Ipsen. This is a must for anyone to listen to while trying to be creative. Here we will breakdown and praise the genuis that is this Soundtrack.

You, Me and Gravity: for when you want to be creative

I really love the video game Planet Coaster. I have been sucked in for hours at a time building Roller Coasters and repairing benches and trash cans. Anyone that has played Planet Coaster will understand that annoyance! Yet it is the soundtrack to this game that I think I have fallen even more in love with. It is the perfect music to write to. Even Better, I think it is the perfect music while trying to do anything creative.

You, Me and Gravity: Top 5 tracks

  1. My favorite is the first track called The Light in Us All. When I first found the game I would linger in the main menu just to listen to it! Even my daughters would comment on how much they liked this track. They are under 5 and they picked up on the genius of this song! The ending riff that builds and builds is my favorite part. The elegant way it pays off is so satisfying.
  2. Next up we have Breakfast of Champignons. This has a nice guitar backbone to it. The choir coming in and helping is also a nice touch. It is tracks like this that make being creative so much easier.

3. With Friendship and Peace comes up next. First off what a great title! There is just something so listenable about this one. It is entertaining and helps one get in the creative mood, but like most tracks it doesn’t require a bunch of attention to be entertaining. Also, we love the nice piano and drums that help drive this one.

This album is simply amazing. What do you use it for that sparks creativity?

4. Coming in at number four we have the track Dream Build Repeat. However, this one slows it down some. Depending on where in the track it is either the guitar or piano taking over. This kind of duels for a while, but then becomes more and more intertwined. The word Dream in the title makes perfect sense. Because, there is something dreamlike in its beauty.

5. Coming in at number five is Aspect Imaginarium. What Jim Guthrie and JJ Ipsen do so well is giving a wide variety of instruments time to shine. There is a grand vision that envelopes this entire project. All of the ingredients were put in this stew called Aspect Imaginarium. The way it keeps adding and building is just mesmerizing. This one feels like a low-key version of the first track The Light in Us All.

Final Verdict

You, Me and Gravity is a masterpiece of creativity. It inspires creativity whenever I listen. If I am stuck while writing a review of a roller coaster, then I know I only need to do one thing to unstick. You, Me and Gravity has become kind of an anthem of sorts for this blog. Seeing that they tapped into something here. Creating not just a soundtrack to Planet Coaster, but instead, they wrote a soundtrack for amusement parks. For this reason, on a scale of one to ten, You, Me and Gravity gets a ten!
