Miss Kitty's Christmas Presents Snowbound

Miss Kitty’s Christmas Presents Snowbound at Six Flags St. Louis

Miss Kitty’s Christmas Presents Snowbound at Six Flags St. Louis is a live show during Holiday in the Park. The famous saloon has been hit by a blizzard and the characters must sell their goods, fall in love, and save them from being foreclosed. Perfect for anyone who likes singing, dancing, and classic goofy comedy.

Miss Kitty’s Christmas Presents Snowbound Experience

The show takes place at Miss Kitty’s Saloon which is right around halfway into the park. Which is close to Thunder River and on your way to Xcalibur. Miss Kitty’s Saloon is not huge and this show is very popular. Show up a good 15 minutes early if you want a decent seat.

The cast spares no energy. Here they are in a chorus line singing and dancing.

When the show begins a salesman has some goods that “we just got to have it.” From there we find out that a blizzard is hitting and they will all be snowbound. The usual Singing, and dancing, and aw-shucks type of antics we have come to expect from this troop take place. If all goes to plan the saloon will be saved, The goods that “we just got to have it” will be sold, kids will get their Christmas presents on time, and of course, love will be found.

Miss Kitty’s Christmas Presents Snowbound: The Good

The shows at Miss Kitty’s have always been our favorite. With Miss Kitty’s Christmas Presents Snowbound there is no exception. We loved every single minute of this gem. The shows at this saloon have a very good flavor to them. It seems that the other theatres will have shows that update with the times. Shows at Miss Kitty’s feel old fashioned. In theme but also substance. Besides some pop culture references, this could have played at this theatre anytime since the park and Miss Kitty’s opened in 1971 and felt at home.

The standout for this year’s Christmas show is the salesmen. He sets up a joke early which never gets old and keeps the audience engaged. The actor portraying him was fully committed to the role. The show was worth it just for his performance alone.

However, there is no slacker here. All the cast give it their everything. All the singing and dancing is done with as much spirit as you would hope. The physical comedy bits land each time as well. Kudos to the whole cast for a job well done.

They even find tons of ways to make the audience a part of the show. Be it from the salesmen pitches, jokes about Six Flags members, and even yelling at the audience for playing Willie Nelson songs. All of these elements are essential to the soup that makes every show, and this one included so special at Miss Kitty’s Saloon.

The Bad

As you can probably tell from the lovefest of compliments listed above that we loved this show. Though it is fair to say that nothing is perfect. There are some mild audio issues that happen. Also in years past after the show was over, the cast would gather outside to take pictures. That didn’t take place at the performance we saw. I wish it would have just so I could have complimented the cast on a job well done.

Final Verdict

Miss Kitty’s Christmas Presents Snowbound is a fantastic show. This is our favorite show from Holiday in the Park for the 2021 operating season. There is charm and laughs from every minute of this show. We find it hard to believe anyone will see this show and not walk away impressed. Because of these reasons, Miss Kitty’s Christmas Presents Snowbound gets a nine and a half out of ten.
