Revolution at Holiday World has been in operation since 2005. This ride has that old-school carnival feeling. It also happens to be about as intense of a ride experience to be found. Only those that love to spin and have extreme forces felt during a ride should start this Revolution.
Revolution at Holiday World Ride Experience
Revolution sits right across from Raging Rapids and usually has a very small queue line. We have never waited for more than one ride cycle to board. Once you can board you can pick which spot you want. There is no spot better than any other so just pick the closest one. Standing in a metal cage with only a chain in front of you is quite an unnerving experience.
When the ride op has confirmed all are ready to ride then the spinning can begin. Revolution at Holiday World will feel intense from the first moment it starts to spin. You will have a lot of force pushing you back into the cage. Once the ride is up to full speed it will begin to tilt upwards. This is great since it offers a good difference in motion. The ride will begin to lose some speed and will come back down. Once the ride is at a full stop you are able to exit safely. That is if you are not too dizzy.
Revolution at Holiday World: The Good
Depending on your taste this could either be a good or a bad thing. Rides just don’t come more intense than this. If you love intensity then this is about as good as it gets. We mentioned earlier that this never seems to get a big line. That is also good, but more than likely it is due to it being too intense for most people.
The lighting package with this ride is also stunning. The way the lights look as this is spinning around is not to be missed.
The Bad
Either you are going to like this one or you will not. We doubt there is anyone on the fence for this one. They may be stumbling out of this ride but they always have our respect.
Final Verdict
Revolution at Holiday World is a great addition to the park. While certainly not for everyone we love the fact that a ride like this exists. With a great name and even better look Revolution has a lot going for it. Any downsides will come down to if you can handle it or not. Because of these reasons, Revolution at Holiday World gets an eight and a half out of ten.
