Molly's Mill Restaurant

Molly’s Mill Restaurant Silver Dollar City

Molly’s Mill Restaurant has been feeding hungry people at Silver Dollar City for over 40 years now. It was the first restaurant in the park, and in our opinion, it is still the best. This is an all-you-can-eat family-style buffet. Regardless of whether you are there for breakfast or lunch Molly’s will satisfy even the most discerning of appetites.

The fried chicken is some of the best we have ever had.

Molly’s Mill Restaurant Experience

Once you are inside Silver Dollar City after you have entered through the gift shop, if you look to your right you will see Molly’s Mill Restaurant. You walk in and a host will seat you. They give you a menu and you can pick your two types of meat, three sides, and everyone gets their own dessert. Also, rolls come with the lunch. From here they will bring out your food and you can start chowing down. If you run out of anything they will bring you more of it. You pay for your meal after you are all done.

Molly’s Mill Restaurant: The Good

The food here is the best of any in the park. Also, you can eat as much as you want! A lot of times with all-you-can-eat the quality isn’t exactly of the highest caliber. We are pleased to report that this isn’t the case here. No matter which kind of meat you choose it is going to blow you away. The meatloaf has that homemade feel to it and it is to die for. For us, the fried chicken is what we come for. Yet all the sides are great as well. I feel just as excited to ride Outlaw Run as I am to eat the shells and cheese!

The shells and cheese at Molly's Mill Restaurant is so thick and delicious.
Mouthwatering yet?

The Bad

The seating isn’t the best. You can tell this wasn’t originally built for the capacity that now hits this place on busy days. It is pretty common to see big lines forming out of the building waiting on a spot to sit down. Also, they do shut down for an hour on each operating day between 11 and noon. They are open for breakfast but then close for an hour. However, we understand why this decision makes sense for them. Yet it is highly inconvenient. Regardless, for the best restaurant at Silver Dollar City, these are very minor issues. Because nothing stops us, and shouldn’t stop you, from visiting Molly’s Mill Restaurant next time you go.

The Au Gratin Potatoes are also a great choice.
Nothing here isn’t going to blow you away.

Final Verdict

In case you couldn’t tell we love Molly’s Mill Restaurant. Silver Dollar City has the best food of any theme park we have ever visited. Molly’s is the best of this collection. With only minor complaints about seating and having to wait an hour for lunch to begin is a small price to pay. If you only visit one day and you only eat once make this your destination. Also, your dessert is included! So no need to go anywhere else to eat after this. If you leave hungry then that is your own fault. Because of these reasons, Molly’s Mill Restaurant on a scale of one to ten gets a ten.

The cake for desert is the perfect end to the meal. I choose this option which is a cake with a fruity like spread on the top. Molly's Mill Restaurant always delivers.
Taste a little like Gooey Butter Cake with berry spread on top. To die for!
