Macho Nacho at Six Flags St. Louis is a Mexican-themed restaurant. Like a lot of restaurants that are in the park, this one takes inspiration from another popular restaurant. Macho Nacho has a very similar menu to Chipotle Mexican Grill. The results are pretty good.
Macho Nacho at Six Flags: Overview
Macho Nacho serves the type of Mexican cuisine that you would expect. You can get nachos, quesadillas, and burritos. This is where the fun begins since you can now tell them how to load it down with what you like. For your meat, you can choose between beef or chicken.
Macho Nacho at Six Flags: The Good and the Bad
I like both the beef and the chicken. Both have a very good flavor and for the couple of times, I have eaten here they have tasted fresh.
The nachos and the quesadillas are fine, but it is the burritos that really shine. You are able to load that thing down with all the fixings.
One downside that I can give to Macho Nacho is that this is more like a stand than a restaurant. There is a little bit of outdoor seating. No dining room for you and your group to take a break. The second downside seems like a no-brainer to me. Why offer a Mexican restaurant at a theme park and not serve Tacos? Seems like a very strange oversight.
Is it open?
Macho Nacho doesn’t open every day. Usually, it opens on extra-crowded days. Maybe that staff is directed towards restaurants with dining rooms? Between Screamin’ Eagle and Fireball, there is a restaurant not being used. When it was last used it was a Pizza place. I believe it is an employee break room right now. Maybe they keep Macho Nacho where it is since it is close to the entrance, However, I think giving this its own dining room would be a good idea.
Final Verdict
Macho Nacho is a great addition to Six Flags St. Louis. The food quality helps to overcome the dining room problem. While I think they need to have Tacos what is already being served is very good. On a scale of one to ten, I give Macho Nacho an eight.
Pros: Loaded down Burritos, good quality meat and chicken
Cons: No Dinning room or Tacos
