JB’s Smokehouse BBQ at Six Flags St. Louis serves up great-tasting smoked meats. This is my number one favorite pick for eating at this park.
JB’s Smokehouse BBQ at Six Flags: Overview
I cannot say that most places at Six Flags would be considered fine dining. If I went to a normal sit-down restaurant and got the chicken strips at Colonnades Grill I would not be pleased. JB’s Smokehouse is one of the exceptions.
The amount of items on the menu is impressive. buffalo mac & cheese, nachos, salads, chicken strips, and my favorite is the pulled pork sandwich.
JB’s Smokehouse BBQ at Six Flags: Pulled Pork Sandwich
All items here are good, but the pulled pork sandwich which comes on a pretzel bun is heavenly. The pulled pork is top-notch! So you won’t be getting cold cuts or anything like that. This is a high-quality smoked pulled pork, and it tastes wonderful.
Not only does JB‘s have the best sandwich in the park they also have the best fries. Sidewinder fries are the best side item in the park. They are these lightly seasoned, bulky, twisty fries. I would go to JB‘s alone just to get the fries
Well designed and plenty of seating.
The restaurant itself is well designed and looks and feels like your neighborhood bar and grill. They keep it cool during the summer. Lots of seating for you and your group inside. Space can sometimes be a problem at restaurants in the park. JB’s has tons of seating inside and out.
Six Flags staffs this one well. I don’t know the numbers, but I have to believe that this is by far the most popular restaurant in the park. While I can’t say that your order will get to you lightning-fast, this is one of the most reliable in the park.
No Downside
There is very little downside to JB’s Smokehouse. I guess if you want to count how busy it can get. However, I see that as a testament to its quality more than anything. The food is so consistently great and the operations consistent enough that I have no complaints to tell of.
You can get a beer and mixed drinks at JB’s but just be warned they will charge you an arm and a leg. Sadly there are no dining pass options to take the sting off.
Final Verdict
JB’s Smokehouse BBQ at Six flags St. Louis is easily my favorite restaurant in the park. If you’re only going to eat one meal while in the park make sure it is here. On a scale of one to ten, I give JB’s a ten.
Pros: Pulled pork sandwich, the pretzel bun, Sidewinder fries, Great amount of seating
Cons: Gets very busy
