Bamboozler at Worlds of Fun

Bamboozler at Worlds of Fun has been in operation since 1977. Designed and manufactured by Hrubetz from their Round Up line. Originally opened as the Singapore Sling. This ride has that old-school carnival feeling. It also happens to be about as intense of a ride experience to be found.

Bamboozler at Worlds of Fun: Experience

Bamboozler sits right across from Spinning Dragons and is a popular attraction. However, since every cycle, it can accommodate 42 riders it ensures that the line moves at a good pace. Riders must be at least 46 inches to get in on the fun. Once you can board you can pick which spot you want. There is no spot better than any other so just pick the closest one. Standing in a metal cage with only a chain in front of you is quite an unnerving experience.

Bamboozler at Worlds of Fun has you stand in a metal cage. A black padding is there for you back to stand against. Only a metal chain in front of you for support.

When the ride op has confirmed all are ready to ride then the spinning can begin. Bamboozler at Worlds of Fun will feel intense from the first moment it starts to spin. You will have a lot of force pushing you back into the cage. Once the ride is up to full speed it will begin to tilt upwards. This is great since it offers a good difference in motion. The ride will begin to lose some speed and will come back down. Once the ride op gives the all clear you are able to exit safely. Careful walking because it might still feel like you’re spinning!

Bamboozler at Worlds of Fun: The Good

Depending on your taste this could either be a good or a bad thing. Rides just don’t come more intense than this. If you love intensity then this is about as good as it gets. The feeling of force that presses up against your chest from the beginning and doesn’t let up! The visuals of the ride are outstanding when the ride is at full tilt!

The area that this ride sits on is fantastic as well. From the water and trees to the nice theming. The whole area pops when this ride is spinning. The engine sound to the laughter and screams of those on board. There is just so much to love about this ride.

It is great seeing the parks keep this legacy, carnival-type ride going. With high intensity and a great setting, this elevates this ride that some might overlook at other parks and makes this one of the best rides at this park.

The ride tillts only a couple of degrees from straight up.

The Bad

We have little to complain about here. It can certainly be a negative to you depending on your tolerance for spinning. However, we don’t see it as a drawback here. It fits in perfectly with Spinning Dragons and the whole Orient-Themed area. About the only nitpick we can give this ride is that it could use a fresh coat of paint. Some of the white has given way to a rusty color. Outside of that, this ride has all upsides.

Final Verdict

Bamboozler at Worlds of Fun is a wonderful addition to the park. A serious spinning ride made for those looking to be thrilled. With great capacity and a wonderful setting, this is the complete package. While we think it could use a new coating of paint to spruce it up a little we only have minor nitpicks for this great ride. Because of these reasons, Bamboozler at Worlds of Fun gets an eight and a half out of ten.
