Yosemite Sam Tugboat Tailspin at Six Flags

Yosemite Sam Tugboat Tailspin was installed in 2006 along with all of the other rides that are located in Bugs Bunny National Park. IT’s a spinning boat ride that is a very good hybrid of two other rides in the park.

Yosemite Sam Tugboat Tailspin: Overview

Take the spinning motion and half-pipe track of Spinsanity. Next, take the seating structure and pirate ship nature of Joker Inc. Package it for kids and that is how you get this fun kid ride.

Riders can sit in either of the six rows. With the first three facing the other three. The interactions you can have if you are with a group, and they sit on the opposite side are a lot of fun.

Yosemite Sam Tugboat Tailspin: Analysis

This one and Elmer Fudd Weather Balloons give off quite a bit of force for a kid’s ride. The boat sits in a half-pipe and goes back and forth while spinning. While I would never label this an intense ride, it certainly doesn’t look as intense as it is when you’re in the line queue.

Any child of any height is allowed to ride with an adult. But if they want to ride alone they have to be 42 inches or above.

Final Verdict

This is a fun one that you and your child can experience together. It’s one of my favorites rides in the kid’s park. On a scale of one to ten, I give Yosemite Sam Tugboat Tailspin a nine.

Pros: Good amount of intensity, good ride design, fun for all ages

Cons: There really isn’t anything. Just don’t think this ride deserves a ten.
