1904 Classics at Six Flags St. Louis is an eatery located very close to the front of the park. They serve up mostly Hot Dogs and Corn Dogs.
1904 Classics at Six Flags Overview
The legend has it that at the 1904 World’s Fair that the Hot Dog was invited and debuted to the public. While this is probably not the case I do appreciate that Six Flags is trying to keep something local going. Just wish I had better news to report on this restaurant.
1904 Classics at Six Flags Review
The Hot Dog and Corn Dog are the cornerstones here. Served along with French Fries and Large Dill Pickles. Usually, I like it when places focus on a very narrow type of food and do it well. 1904 Classics just doesn’t do it well. Boiled to death is how I think of these Hot Dogs. I was hoping for something close to like a Costco hot dog, but this isn’t even close.
The corn dogs are your best bet here since they are fried prior to being served. I don’t think they are very good hot dogs or cornbread surrounding them so buyer beware.
Better places to Eat
Six Flag’s St. Louis isn’t going to blow you away with other food options, but there is good food to be had in other places in the park. The only two restaurants in the park I just flatly say are not worth your time is 1904 Classics and its close neighbor Colonnades Grill. This is a shame since both are in prime locations located so close to the front gates.
Final Verdict
With so many better options I just cannot recommend 1904 Classics to anyone. This is sad because I actually love Hot Dogs. However, these Hot Dogs are worth skipping. Getting a basket of fries is about the only way I would say go for it. They are available as a snack option on your Dining Pass. On a scale of one to ten, I give 1904 Classics a three.
Pros: Fries, Look of the building
Cons: The Hot Dogs
