Typhoon Twister at Six Flags St. Louis

Typhoon Twister at Six Flags St. Louis has been in operation since 2018. Designed and manufactured by Pro Slide Technology Inc. this A group raft water-slide designed for thrill-seekers. Very much along the lines of Tornado also at Hurricane Harbor.

Typhoon Twister at Six Flags: Overview

You and up to three other thrill-seekers will carry your raft up this steep slide. At a cursory glance, this looks a lot like Tornado, though it does have a couple of different tricks up its sleeve.

The first is what their official website says is a “125-foot long whirlpool bowl with a 54-foot vertical drop.” The sensation of going around that bowl is pretty awesome. They saved the best for last which is a 0G wave wall. The waver wall is like Tornado Except it does it only one time. It packs a huge thrill.

Typhoon Twister at Six Flags: Carrying the raft

I think the comparisons between Typhoon Twister and Tornado are inevitable. However, I find Tornado to be the better one of the two. Yet they both have the same issue. Having to lug that huge raft up those stairs becomes a very tiresome exercise. The conveyor belt operations with Big Kahuna would have benefited this water slide.

Final Verdict

Six Flags chose wisely with this water slide. It’s a fun addition to the already outstanding Hurricane Harbor. As long as you have time for two group water slides then I recommend this ride. On a scale of one to ten, I gave Typhoon Twister a seven.

Pros: Multiple elements on a group water-slide, Good paint job

Cons: Carrying the raft
